About Dance Theatre FairbanksDance Theatre Fairbanks has been teaching Fairbanks how to dance for over a decade – providing the very best in Dance Education, Performance Opportunities, and Healthy Lifestyles. From humble beginnings nearly a decade ago, DTF has grown up – and grown out of several beloved facilities. Along the way we are changing the face of dance education in the Interior. We started downtown, when Mrs. Pat Sims located what was then called Northland Dance in a small space tucked away in the Co-op Building downtown between 2nd and 3rd Avenues and evolved into DTF through the efforts of Mrs. Sims with dedicated instructors and volunteers. The studio continued to grow under the executive directorship of Mrs. Sheri Merdes. Following the recent departure of former executive director Mrs. Gay-Ellen Heath-Griffin, we are pleased to welcome Mrs. Dianne Christiansen as our current Executive Director. Today, in The Firehouse
Studios we have six dance studios, and a performance space
on the way beginning this summer. Where fire engines once
lived in the big garage, dancers and other performers will be
entertaining Fairbanks. |
