Senior Performing Company
Company Class Requirements for Fall 08
Apprentice Company – 1 ballet technique class, 1 other class of choice (can also be a ballet)
Senior Company -2 ballet technique* classes, 1 other class of choice (can also be a ballet)
*Ballet Technique classes taken from other highly qualified ballet instructors in the community may be used to fulfill a ballet requirement
Making Up Required Classes
To avoid injury and to maximize your training, all missed classes should be made up within 3 weeks prior to the absence (ie: for a prescheduled absences) or within 3 weeks of returning from the absence. Exceptions will be made on a case to case basis if extenuating circumstances arise. Performing privileges may be suspended for dancers who have not made up required classes.
Saturday Rehearsals are Optional until the Last Full Show Runthrus.
Company members can choose to not be in the Saturday Age Group dances. Those not participating in the Saturday Age Group dances will not have Saturday rehearsals until the last 3-4 Saturday
full show runthrus. These full show runthrus will be held on the last 3-4 Saturdays prior to the show.
Winter “Can Dance for Food” Showcase
Company works will be performed in the showcase but will rehearsed only during their company rehearsal times only until the last 3-4 Saturday’s prior to the show. To better accommodate holiday travel plans, we have also adjusted our performance dates. The last show is scheduled for Friday, December 19th , which is the last day of the school district semester.
“Alaska”
Miss Rebecca's ballet “Alaska” will be performed during the Spring Semester. Auditions for leads and some rehearsals for it will take place during the fall semester.
